It’s All Hallow’s Eve—a night when spirits and ghouls join us to celebrate, make merry, and of course, eat candy!

To honor my second favorite holiday, I’ve put together a special Halloween mixtape to get you in the spirit (pun intended). The album is an assortment of rockabilly, swing, and surf tunes that are sure to get any go-go ghoul movin’!

I hope you enjoy the tunes and have a safe and spooky Halloween!

Kaytranada – 99.9%

Kaytranada has just released 99.9%, his first full-length studio album. And boy is this sucker good. The album is cohesive, yet each and every song has it’s own flavor. He moves effortlessly through several musical genres including hip-hop, funk, house, jazz, and more.

If you don’t know anything about Kaytranada, he first gained notoriety when his remix of Janet Jackson’s IF became popular on SoundCloud. Because of the success of that song (and a nod from Janet herself), the young producer from Montreal has taken his music all over the world. For more on Kaytranada, check out this article on Fader.

Joe Kay at the Boiler Room London

I’ve been listening to Soulection Radio on iTunes for a while now. Joe Kay and his crew have been creating some incredible sets lately. This Boiler Room set from a year ago is still one of favorites. I love sitting down to design or develop with this in the background—these upbeat and smooth grooves will keep you focused and on track.
